Airtel Uganda Money director Andrew Rugamba has said they are extremely excited about winning the 2021 Fintech innovation award.
Basing on the award organiser, East African Comm, this award is usually given to companies to honour their products and for leading in the Financial Technically (FinTech) innovations in the region.
Due to the above critia, the smartphone network landed herself the mega award at the 18th Annual East African Comm awards that were held in Kenya’s capital Nairobi this year.
According to the money director, they were in position to land this place as a result as a result of endless hardwork which was also paired with continuos investment in the tech-driven sector as he said;

This prompted Airtel Uganda to be recognized especially through her Airtel Money innovation.
Airtel money got recognized as Uganda’s one of the leading financial inclusion drivers that have granted an opportunity to mobile phone owners, especially financial crippled people to transact in this digital economy.
