Dfcu Bank has come out to announce a big tech development with the introduction of cardless ATM cash deposits as the newest digital feature.
According to the Bank, this feature will assist both non customers and customers that deposit on any given DFCU ATM centre to the account of ones choice.
This is under the recently launched campaign themed ‘Banking at the Speed of U’ in which the bank expects to quicken the rate at which clients receive services and in turn minimize bank queues.
Faridah Nalubega the Manager Cards and Money Transfers said that all customers who have already embraced the Mobile Wallets or cashless transactions will appreciate this feature.
“We believe that everyone who has already adapted the use of Mobile Wallets or Cashless transactions is going to embrace our new service. This cardless functionality will minimize time spent in banking hall queues,” Nalubega said.
Dfcu recently replaced it’s old ATMs with up-to-date Smart ATM recyclers.
These will be scheduled to carry out cash withdrawals plus accepting card and cardless deposits from clients.
Dfcu has become one of the biggest banks in the country and ranks only behind Stanbic back in the second position in coverage in the country.
It has over 100 ATM’S and 67 branches allover the country.
And with the coming of COVID 19 which undermined physical cash transactions, the bank decided to go digital.
E-banking, mobile banking and a banking app were all introduced in this attempt.
“This development also takes into consideration the outbreak and continued impact of the CORONAVIRUS, which has changed the way that communities, nations, and companies operate,” DFCU’s statement partly read.
