French Embassy partners with Stanbic Business Incubator to Finance eco-system entrepreneurs

LATEST IN BUSINESS – Stanbic Business Incubation has partnered with the French embassy to support the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Agro-ecology and eco-tourism sectors. This will help to enhance productivity sustainability and also help in the creation of jobs.

This partnership between the French Embassy and Stanbic Incubation will further help to achieve sustainable Development Goals thus enhancing resilience and responsible governance to create an enabling environment.  

“In the speech he gave in Ouagadougou in November 2017, the French President, Emmanuel Macron, emphasized how critical entrepreneurship is to respond to the demographic challenge soon to be faced by the continent, and which will be translated in the need to create quality employment opportunities for young people and women,” Jules-Armand Aniambossou said.

According to the chief executive at Stanbic Bank, Mr. Tony Otoa, he believes that the 2 year project will structure & provide a needs assessment of the two networks of entrepreneurs. Additionally, both in the agro-ecology and eco-tourism.

“We shall offer a holistic approach that seeks to reconcile agriculture and communities with natural processes for the common benefits of nature and livelihood and provide a form of tourism involving responsible travel to natural areas, environment conservation and improve the well-being of the local tourism,” a chief executive at Stanbic Bank, Mr. Tony Otoa said.
